"Solid food for solid people."
That's the motto that should be painted across the window if the proprietors of Cafe Delight were into that sort of thing. Fortunately for us, they're focused on popping out fry-ups at a cheap price.
I had the the Full Monty, which at £8.50 was a pretty stellar deal.
I think the best part about eating at Cafe Delight - as a non-local - is observing the interactions between the guy behind the counter and the regulars. The banter never stopped the entire time I was there and anyone who was a local generally had their order rung up without having to call it and a conversation that basically picked up where it ended the day before.
Definitely a locals spot, but they're friendly - or as friendly as they can get - towards strangers too. -

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE GAY
I went with my friends and the presumed owner and wife ignored me as I went to the counter
So i joined my friends and thought we'd wait to be served
The woman from the counter came to serve the food fur nearby tables but completely ignored us
When asked if we could order , the man came like a thug and refused to serve us .
Needless to say , we weRe respectable guests .
He then swore at us and said #uck off as we left
I have never been treated like this even in Brixton
I believe the owners are homophobic .
Just because the other patrons make a song and dance about the place with pictures on the wall , it does not make them right and accepting of everyone .
I am shocked what happens in the heart of a gay neighbourhood .

Pretty middle of the road kind of greasy spoon. Pros: nice interior for a caf. Cons: the food isn't very much to get excited about and the service is definitely not with a smile. Overall you could do worse than this place though.

The service was quick and efficient. Even though they were very busy, and the staff were all lovely, and helpful, and the food was all really good. It's also really adorable, and the quality of the food is way above what you pay for. Really lovely :)

this is a proper cafe, if there's roast lamb on the menu on a sunday morning you know you're in a good place!!
The full english breakfasts come in about 20 different combinations but you know you are going to be happy when you leave. It is spot on.\if you're in a rush then grab a take away bacon and egg sandwich, hits the spot harder than clearasil
